Josh uses a Boss DD-3 delay, an Ibanez Tube Screamer, and an Electro-Harmonix Micro POG octave pedal. On the album we mixed his amp sound with a dry acoustic sound.
We recorded Kieran totally acoustic (and added a few effects here and there at the mixing stage), but live he sometimes uses a delay pedal (Behringer I think). He also keeps a Boss RC30 an a POG2 in his rig, but he doesn't use them much in MOMS.
Thanks! Where specifically? We plan to tour again this summer – we'll let you know more details soon.
Soon! We're figuring out the details. We'll keep you posted.
Hadn't heard of them, no. I just listened to "The Rival Cycle" and I'm not sure I hear the similarity – which section are you talking about?
Aw, thanks! Keeping a solid rhythm is the trickiest and most important part (I definitely don't always succeed), so I recommend lots of metronome practice and if you're practicing with a band, trying to sing as rhythmically as possible so your bass part stays steady.
We'd love to come to Montreal. And we plan to put out a collection of scores and tabs pretty soon. We'll keep you posted!
